1What Smileproof is

Smileproof is a chairside tool for dental professionals. It takes a photo of a patient, sends it to a secure cloud AI service, and returns a cosmetic visualization — an illustrative preview of how a smile might look after veneers, whitening or bonding. It exists to support a conversation between dentist and patient. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a record.

2Patient photos & your privacy

• Photos are not stored. A patient photo is sent to the AI service only to generate the preview, and is not retained there afterwards. It is never saved on our servers and never saved on the device — each preview exists only for the duration of the session.
• No accounts, no tracking of patients. We do not build patient profiles. We do not sell or share photos with anyone.
• Aggregate usage only. We may count anonymous usage totals (e.g. how many previews were generated, by procedure type and day) to understand adoption. These counts contain no photo, no patient information and no identifying data.
• Health data & residency. Patient photos are health data. Dentists must use consented or demo photos and follow their local data-residency and privacy rules (for example the UAE Healthcare ICT Law and the Saudi PDPL). Smileproof is a cosmetic visualization aid, not a diagnosis or a medical record.

3Consent

Before any photo is captured, the dentist must confirm that the patient consents to having a photo taken and sent to a secure cloud AI service to create a cosmetic smile preview. The dentist is responsible for obtaining and recording that consent in line with their professional and legal obligations.

4Medical disclaimer

An AI-generated preview is for discussion only. It is not the patient's real photo, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a guarantee of results. Actual outcomes depend on a clinical examination and the treating dentist's plan, and may differ from any preview. Every exported or shared image carries a watermark and an "AI-generated, not a guarantee" disclaimer so it cannot be mistaken for a real before/after photo. Clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the licensed dentist.

5Terms of use

• Smileproof is provided to dental professionals "as is", without warranty of any kind, for cosmetic visualization and patient communication.
• The clinician is solely responsible for clinical judgement, for obtaining patient consent, and for how previews are presented to patients.
• Do not present a preview as a promised or guaranteed outcome.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smileproof and ClinicEdge Studio LLC are not liable for clinical decisions, treatment outcomes, or any use of the previews.
